A Little Bit About Us: City Boy meets Country Girl Kasey is a Jersey boy through and through. I, on the other hand, grew up in the mountains of Pennsylvania. While attending Liberty University in Virginia, we were introduced by some mutual friends in the fall of 2008. After a few months of pursing and wooing me, this ice-hockey-playing city boy won my heart. We dated for 9 months and he proposed in August of 2009. 21 months later, we were married in my daddy's small country church, on May 20, 2011.
Life as a married couple was adventurous and exciting.We spent our first year and half of marriage living in a one bedroom apartment in the basement of a historic home in Lynchburg, Virginia. We were head-over-heals for each other and loving our life together.
On December 15, 2012, we found out we were expecting our first baby. Everything about my pregnancy was normal, healthy, and on-track. However, on April 11, 2013 I went into labor. I was only 21 and 1/2 weeks into my pregnancy and we were told that there was no chance of survival for this little life I was about to bring into the world. On April 12, 2013, Judah Blaze Horvath was born. We were blessed with 2 precious hours with our sweet baby boy before he left this world. This experience has forever changed us.
Our purpose:
Our purpose in sharing our story is two fold.
First and foremost, we want to honor and glorify our Lord and Redeemer. We hope that in reading our story, you will see Jesus Christ for who he truly is, the King and Savior of the world, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16).
Second, "God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, [has comforted] us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God" (2 Corinthians 1:3-4). We pray that our story will bring comfort to those who are hurting.
